PRF seizes 'gourmet skunk' ice cream flavor on Fernão Dias highway

On the night of this Thursday (18), around 9:30 pm, during inspection at Km 07 of BR 381, Fernão Dias Highway, at the Vargem/SP toll booth, the PRF arrested a man for transporting 20 packages of common skunk and 5 packages of a new type of drug: gourmet skunk with ice cream flavor.

A FORD/FIESTA vehicle caught the team's attention for using LED bulbs in its headlights, a change prohibited by traffic regulations.

The car was driven by a man who identified himself as the owner of the vehicle, but that it was registered in the name of his wife's uncle.

He also said that he worked as an app driver in Varginha-MG, where he lived and where he was returning to.

When asked about the reason for the trip, he said he had brought a passenger to São Paulo. During the inspection of the vehicle, the team detected a strong smell of drugs inside.

There was a suitcase on the back seat and a black bag on the floor.

He said he did not know the contents of the suitcase and bag, as they could have belonged to the passenger.

The team inspected them and found 20 packages of common skunk, 4 packages of gourmet gelato-flavored skunk and 1 smaller tablet of hashish.

After the drug was discovered, the driver revealed that he received the drug in Brás in São Paulo to take to Boa Esperança, in Minas Gerais, and that he would earn R$1,000.00 for the delivery.

The incident is being reported to the Bragança Paulista Police Station, where the man will be charged with Interstate Drug Trafficking.
